Murray and I love auctions.  You never know what you will find, but you can be sure that you will always find something.  Last week we spent the day doing what we like best, at an auction.

This auction had lots of dish and glassware.  I like milk glass and really am particularly interested in milk glass chickens.

I have several of the small milk glass chickens that belonged to Murray’s mother, but none with the red comb as this one.

The bidding on this beauty was quite active.  I was very lucky to get it.

I have never seen anything like this.  I am going to have to do some research to see what I can find out about this piece.  If anyone has any information or has seen one of these, please let me know.

Murray got a very nice old copper coffee pot to go with our growing collection.  I also was able to get a box of old mason jars.  It was indeed a great day!  I am using my new Canon camera.  I still have a lot to learn!!
