I have always loved stand alone kitchen cabinets and hutches – especially the Hoosier cabinet.  Although my cabinet is not a Hoosier cabinet, it is truly a unique piece of furniture.  I discovered it at a wonderful shop, Main Street Mercantile.  Check them out at mainstreetmerc.com.

Antique canning jars are a must in my home.  You will see them in almost every room in a variety of uses.  These jars are colorful reminder of Grandma’s country kitchen.

I particularly like the jars with zinc lids.  And look at this wonderful metal jar holder.  I found this at the annual Moss Avenue Sale in Peoria, IL.  Kathi filled several jars with Valentines colored M&Ms and candied hearts with lovely Valentines messages.

And notice the hearts on the handle of the jar holder.  How appropriate for a Valentines decoration.
