No pictures for this blog, just a report on the adventures of the Sisters this past weekend. On Saturday, Kathi and I, along with our sister Carla, and her daughter (our niece) Britney participated in an exciting workshop. We are always on the look-out for interesting sales, auctions, restaurants (especially tearooms, they have the best desserts!), antique and/or craft shops, or any fun and interesting activity. We were fortunate enough to discover Second Betty, a delightful shop in Morton, IL that sells vintage furniture, antiques and gifts.
In addition, Cindy the owner of Second Betty, is a distributor for Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. We spent Saturday morning in a workshop with Cindy learning all about this fantastic paint and experimenting with several different painting techniques. We had such a great time! I urge you to check out Second Betty at www.secondbetty.com. And then, make a trip to the store. Cindy is fantastic and you will fall in love with her store and Annie Sloan paint. Thank you, Cindy, for sharing your talents with us. We left with our heads spinning with all the ideas that we have for painting projects. We can’t wait to get started and we will keep everyone informed of our progress.
This Saturday we will be on another fun adventure attending the annual Moss Avenue Sale in Peoria, IL. We always look forward to this sale which features lots of antiques, vintage, unusual and unique items, and good food. In fact, Cindy from Second Betty will be here with some of her lovely pieces. Hopefully we will be able to find some fantastic bargains!
I have been busy working in the backyard – rearranging some planters, adding some new planters and new plants. I hope to have some pictures soon.
Thank you for stopping by.
Until next,
Pat & Kathi
