Easter Decorated Hoosier

The Hoosier-style cabinet in the dining room is one of my favorite pieces of furniture.  And I continue to change the items I display on the cabinet – sometimes several times a day!  Even though the ground outside is white with snow and more is falling and on the way as I write this, I have decided to forge ahead with Spring decorations.

I love these colors.  They just make me smile.

hutch-glass-closeI purchased the green Depression glass containers at a household auction a number of years ago.  The milk glass chickens belonged to my dear mother-in-law.  I purchased the ceramic Easter basket at Kohl’s last year after Easter when it was discounted!

And what a lovely decoration this painted egg is!

My decorating style can be described in a variety of ways – mismatched, haphazard, or just by chance!  What I really like is to combine old and new – antique and vintage items with new items.  I go with whatever looks good at the moment!!

Thanks for visiting and please stop by again soon.  My next post will introduce my antique grocery cart.

Until then, happy decorating!
