One of our big improvement projects on the farm this summer was giving our shed a facelift. As we continue to transition from being a corn/soybean farm to a flower farm, we are looking for other ways to use our shed. Since we don’t have the large farm equipment any longer, we now have a lot of space to work with. The first thing we did this summer was to give the shed a much needed paint job.
The first step was to give the shed a good cleaning.
A good primer was applied next. (Notice the lovely zinnias and sunflowers!)
What a difference!
We went with bright white with a silver roof. I love it!!! I am thinking of adding a bit of color by painting a barn quilt pattern on the shed. That will be a project for next spring! Remember when I said that I always wanted to open a small antique/craft shop. Well I think there just might be a space in the shed that will work perfectly!!! More exciting plans for Idylwood Farm!
Thanks for stopping by!!! Happy Fall!!
Until next time,
Pat
